Comeaux High School (Lafayette, LA) LB Alex Satchell is the seventh official commitment to play in the 2026 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which will be played on Wednesday, December 30th at Louisiana Christian University in Pineville, Louisiana.

At 5’8, 170 pounds, Satchell may not be the biggest player out there, but his tenacity, instincts, and quickness immediately stand out. What is impressive about the Comeaux tackling machine is that he is a very reliable tackler not only in open space, but he is also not afraid to get his nose dirty and make plays between the tackles. His high football IQ, explosiveness to the football, and versatility to play inside and outside makes him an underrated player.
Playing for the Spartans, Satchell stuffed the stat sheet with 101 tackles, 14 TFLs, 2 sacks, 1 INT, 2 forced fumbles, 6 fumble recoveries, 6 QB hurries, 3 PBUs, and a blocked extra point. With those numbers, he earned himself All-District Honorable Mention honors. Satchell caught the attention of opposing coaches and players, but he also won over his team as he was named a team captain last season.
Satchell has been a consistent performer at our two Gridiron Football Elite Camps earlier this offseason at Breaux Bridge High School and St. Louis Catholic High School. He posted a quick 4.71/40 time and one of our quickest shuttle times this offseason with a 4.25 time. Going to the Gridiron Football Elite Camps has been beneficial for him as he approaches his senior season.
“The camps were great. I was with one of my teammates. There was a lot of great competition. I really enjoyed the 7 on 7s. It allowed me to see how I size up and compare myself to other people my age.”

Right now, the recruiting process has been slow, but it has picked up with upcoming college visits and camps. To go with his production and ability, Alex Satchell is a leader on and off the field with a 3.85 GPA.
“I just want to play ball and further my education because that is a big thing for me. I am a leader and I will be the hardest working person there.”
