Let’s give a big round of applause for the latest Rising Star, Kaven Morrow, from the class of 2028! Kaven showed off his skills at the Gridiron Elite Camp that took place in Lake Charles, LA. Kaven has impressively maintained a 3.2 GPA so far throughout his academic career. He is 5’11 and weighs 210 lbs. He can bench up to 250 lbs and squat an impressive 470 lbs! Kaven does track on top of football, but still managed to make All-American ’23 and All-District 25′. These accomplishments have led Kaven to be our next Rising Star.

What did you look forward to most at the camp?
“To better myself and get the opportunity to play for a college, possibly, but definitely get my name out.”
What was your favorite drill?
“The 40 yd dash.”
Was there a specific drill you would like to have done?
“No, ma’am.”
What did you like about the camp?
“How nice everybody was, how they helped if you needed it. They’re there for you.”
What skills do you think you performed well?
“My main running back skills.”
What were your shuttle and 40 yd times?
“The shuttle was a 4.35 and the 40 was a 4.72.”
What was your braod jump?
“It was an 8′.6.”
Do you think you performed well?
“I believe so.”
If you could have done something differently, what would it be?
“Probably my 40 and then just getting out better.”
Why did you choose this camp?
“It was at my school, and I wanted to do something to better myself, and get my name out. I was also hoping for a bowl game invite.”
Are there any specific skills you would like to improve?
“My catching abilities.”
Why do you play football?
“I like the physicality and relationships it has to offer.”
Did you learn any important lessons at the camp?
“Yes, ma’am. Stay humble and be you.”
