Jayvion Briley is a 6’4, 320 pound offensive lineman out of White Castle, Louisiana. Jayvion has an impressive 4.0 GPA! With his cousin in the NFL he has good role models and players that he looks up to. Giving all he has on and off the field, Jayvion got the opportunity to join us at our bowl game. He talked with me about his experience at the bowl game this past December. Jayvion is hoping to go to University of Lafayette once he graduates!

When did you start playing football?
When I was five
How would you describe your playing style?
Phyiscal and hard
Do you have someone you model yourself after?
My cousin Ja’Tyre Carter, he in the NFL. He plays offensive line for the Carolina Panthers
Any goals after high school? Any offers?
I don’t have any offers but I really want to go to the University of Lafayette
What makes that school different than other schools?
It’s just very different, I went toured it the other day with my school. It’s a lot of things I can see myself doing
Who would be your favorite NFL player?
Cam Jordan, he plays for the New Orleans Saints
How has the recruting process been?
It’s been good, I sent my film out to a lot of coaches and I have been talking to a couple
How was ur experience at the bowl game?
It was very good, I met a lot of new people. I played people the same size as me and it felt good playing against the same talent that I have, it made me work harder than what I usually have to do.
Did you make any connections while you were there?
I met all new people, I didn’t know I was going to meet any new people, I thought I was going to be by myself the entire time.
What is a strength of yours?
A strength of mine off the field is probably my creativity and probably on the field is probably me being physical and being a team guy, being a captain and helping other people out
What is a weakness of yours?
I get frustrated very fast on the field and off the field
