Here’s my interview with Jackson!
What made you start playing football?
In 8th grade, after my grandfather passed, I just wanted something to do to keep me focused and Coach Winston just kept me motivated to keep going.
Would you rather play Left Tackle or Guard?
Left Tackle because of my height, also I look up to Joe Thomas, and I would want to play Left Tackle at the next level.
What does being a good teammate mean to you?
It means everything, having communication, it is a brotherhood and how you win games. Communication is everything!
What motivates you most to play football?
I want to play at the highest level possible and I’m going looking forward to going the JUCO route. Also, I want to make my family proud and work my way up.
Favorite Pre Game song and why?
“Life of a Thug” by DeeMula, it just gets me ready to play football.
What was your favorite game so far?
The Gridiron Football Bowl Game because it taught me a lot, bonding with guys from the offensive and defensive line. I would say also against DeSoto Central because I balled out even though we lost.
How was your experience during the Bowl Game?
I loved it, being apart of the Lions, meeting the guys, it was just a good experience. And it taught me a lot about football getting ready for next level.
How has football helped you outside the sport?
It is my motivation for working out, it is my key and my drive. It helps me keep my GPA up. Also, meeting new people and going to camps.
Dream NFL Teammate?
Will Campbell, I would love to line up with him.
Dream Football College?
Arkansas Razorbacks or Memphis State.
What is your favorite football memory and why?
First Game of my senior year, when we beat the defending state champs. When we went out there and won it was a great feeling, while also being able to beat them in their home was a good experience.
