Here is a photo gallery from Week 9’s matchup between the Rosepine Eagles and the Avoyelles Mustangs. The Mustangs were able to shutout the Eagles by a final score of 22-0. The Mustangs were led by their star running back and athlete DeCareyn Sampson, who is going to be invited to play in our Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, as he scored two of the three touchdowns in the victory while the Mustangs defense stifled the Eagles offense all night long.
The Rosepine Eagles finished their season at 3-7 and will miss out on the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Avoyelles Mustangs, which also finished with a record of 3-7, will go on the road to take on Kinder in the first round of the LHSAA Non-Select Division III Playoffs.
