This weekend provided numerous losses for colleges around Louisiana but none of which were as close as the Lions loss to SE Missouri State. The Southeastern Lions played a really good game last night against the SE Missouri State Redhawks but lost 24 to 23 in the last 4 seconds of the game. The game was close throughout with the Lions actually outplaying the Redhawks on the offensive side of the ball. The lions had 436 total yards for the game while the Redhawks had 365. Senior QB Bryan Bennett had a good game as usual for the Lions going 15-of-29 passing for 200 yards, a touchdown, and one interception. Furthermore, Bennett had a great 22 yard touchdown run with only 2:53 left in the game to put the Lions up 23 to 16. However, the Redhawks came back being led by senior QB Kyle Snyder who went 16-of-31 passing for 141 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. It was Snyder’s touchdown pass of 2 yards to junior WR Paul McRoberts, with only 4 seconds left in the game that won it for the Redhawks. Even though the Lions lost the game they had a lot of key plays executed by their key players on the field. Junior RB Rasheed Harrell had an outstanding game with 18 carries and 89 yards. On the receiving side of the ball, senior WR Devante Scott led the way with 3 receptions for 74 yards. Although the Lions did not come out with the win, they played a great game and I have full confidence in the future of this team. GO LIONS!
