Television Affiliates for SLU Opener at OSU Announced

HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University football team’s upcoming season opener at No. 19/21 Oklahoma State will be televised on Fox Sports Net, which released channel designations for Saturday’s game on Wednesday.

In the Hammond area, the game will be shown on Fox Sports Southwest Plus. DirecTV customers will be able to view the game on channel 676-1. The game will also be available on DISH (442 – standard; 9580 – HD), U-verse (754 – standard; 1754 – HD) and Cox (79 – standard; 1079 – HD).

Charter does not carry Fox Sports Southwest Plus and the primary Fox Sports Southwest feed will carry the Texas Rangers – Houston Astros game in Louisiana. Fans will have the option of visiting FoxSportsGo.com. The FoxSportsGo app is available for all Apple and Android devices, as well as Amazon TV, Apple TV and Roku.

Brendan Burke, Brian Baldinger and Christian Steckel will serve as the broadcast team for Saturday’s game. Oklahoma State will be the highest-ranked FBS team the Lions have faced since they traveled to then-No. 5 Ole Miss on Sept. 19, 2009.

Saturday’s game can also be heard on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network and will be called by Mark Willoughby, Lance Pittman and Robbie Rhodes. Fans can tune in to the flagship station of Southeastern Football, KSLU-FM (90.9), as well as Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and WFPR-AM (1400). Fans can also listen online at www.LionSports.net/listenlive or via the TuneIn Radio app.

The Lions’ road trip this weekend is the first of two to start 2016 for SLU, which will be at Southern Utah for a 7 p.m. (CDT) non-conference contest next Saturday. Southeastern opens up its home schedule on Sept. 24, hosting Southland Conference foe Northwestern State at 6 p.m.

Season tickets for the Lions’ five-game home schedule are on sale through Sept. 23 by contacting the Southeastern Athletics Ticket Office at (985) 549-5466 or visiting www.LionSports.net and www.LionUp.com. Single-game tickets for the home opener and the Oct. 8 game versus McNeese are also available through the ticket office or at the online outlets.
