Rising Star, Trenton Gray, OL, Rusk High School (Rusk, TX)

Let’s welcome the latest rising star, from the class of 2027, Trenton Gray! Trenton was at the 2025 Gridiron Football Elite Camp in Westwood, Texas. He is a star student, always making the honor roll, and currently has a GPA of 3.7. Trenton earned quite a few awards in ’25 for his football talents, including First Team All-District, Linemen of the Year, and made the top 5 in linemen at the YAA All-American Showcase. Trenton also powerlifts on the side and placed in the top 5 for the heavy lifter class. He is currently 6’4 and weighs 285 lbs. Trenton’s max bench is 295 lbs, his squat is 450 lbs, and his clean is up to 245 lbs. Trenton is not only strong in his skills, but in his faith as well. He currently serves as a youth group leader for his church and participates in mission trips as well. These qualities have made Trenton the latest Rising Star.

What did you look forward to most at the camp?

“I really looked forward to the coaching and the 1 on 1’s.”

What was your favorite drill from the camp?

“The fit and drive.”

What exactly did you like about the camp?

“I liked that it wasn’t big, that way you could get more reps in and better coaching.”

What skills do you think you performed well?

“My pass set skill, and my ability to stay low and drive.”

What were your shuttle run and 40 yd dash times?

“A 5.31 and 5.52”

Do you think you performed at your best?

“I would say probably not, that was a little while ago, and I have improved a lot since then, even got a 3-star rating.”

If you had the chance to go back and do something different, what would it be?

“I wouldn’t be so nervous. I would be aggressive and ready to compete.”

Are there any specific skills you are looking to improve?

“My technique, and just getting quicker.”

What is your biggest strength?

“My footwork.”

Out of all the camps available, why did you choose ours?

“It was the first one I had really known about.”

What exactly were you looking to get out of the camp?

“The chance for exposure and to be noticed.”

Did you learn any important lessons?

“Just put in the teamwork.”

Why do you play football?

“It’s something I love, and have done from a young age.”

Do you have a role model in your life?

“My dad, he pushes me to do my best.”

If you could offer one piece of advice for future players participating in the camp, what would it be?

“Don’t be worried about what others have to say or think about you. Just worry about yourself.”
