Check out our latest Rising Star, from the class of 2030, Wiley Lenhart! Wiley showed off his amazing football skills at the Gridiron Elite Football Camp in Lake Charles, LA. Wiley is an outstanding 6′, 211 lbs athlete. His max bench is 125 lbs, with his squat weighing in at 225 lbs! Wiley is an amazing student as well, achieving A’s and B’s, showing he is staying well-rounded. To add to that well-roundedness, Wiley was previously seen winning a state title in the Junior Boys Breakaway rodeo competition and played in the Gridiron Football Junior High Pro-Bowl in ’25. These accomplishments truly show Wiley can do anything he puts his mind to, whether that is football or his interesting hobbies.

What did you look forward to most at the camp?

“Learning new tactics that I can put to use when I am a freshman.”

What was your favorite drill from the camp?

“The shuttle run, it was a new version for me.”

Was there a specific drill you would have liked to have done?

“L drills.”

What did you like most about the camp?

“It wasn’t just about football. It was also focused on how you should act and your academics.”

What skills do you think you performed well?

“My overall strength was good, and I stayed open minded.”

What was your shuttle run and 40 yd dash time?

“The shuttle was a 4.48 and the 40 was a 5.57.”

Do you believe you performed at your best?

“I tried my hardest, but I do believe I underperformed a little bit.”

If you could have done something differently, what would it have been?

“Changing my form for the shuttle run.”

Why did you choose our camp?

“It’s a good camp for exposure. They show you what high school and college coaches really expect from you as well.”

Having previously played in the Junior High Pro-Bowl, do you intend to come back to another camp to secure the Bowl Game invite this year?

“I do intend to, I really want it, and I know I can get it.”

Are there any specific skills you are looking to improve?

“Definitely my speed.”

What are your biggest strengths and weaknesses?

“Being able to focus when needed, I am also able to take constructive criticism well. My weakness, on the other hand, is that I like to talk a lot.”

Who is your biggest role model when it comes to football?

“My older cousin played all his life. It was something I had done since I was a kid with him, and it really made me want to do the same.”

If you could offer one piece of advice for future players participating in camps, what would it be?

“It would be to take everything you’re told and use it to your best abilities and learn to handle that constructive criticism.”
