Chad Aguillard Jr. Q&A:

Q: When did you start playing football and what inspired you to keep on playing?

“This is my first year playing football. What inspired me to keep playing, things like watching Florida football, and how you can tackle people you know? I just really like the sport.”

Q: Did you play any other sports before football?

“I run track, play basketball, and also play baseball.”

Q: What do you think your biggest strengths are on the field and off the field?

“On the field I would definitely say it is my speed. Off the field, I would say my ability to deal with people, to make friends and talk to people. I would say I’m a good people person.”

Q: What activities outside of football keep you sharp for football season?

“Just playing different kinds of sports and stuff of that nature you know. Staying active, working out stuff like that.”

Q: What would you say is your proudest football memory so far?

“I had a championship game against Zachary Elite, and I got MVP for the game. I had a touchdown, interception, a pass deflection, a fumble recovery, overall it was just one of my best games.

Q: What are some current goals you have for yourself?

“First, to focus on school, to get the best grades I can get, because you have to be in the classroom. After that, my biggest goals on the field, I just want to score touchdowns, and play defensive back the best I can help my team and be better as a whole.”

Q: Do you have a dream college school right now?

“I have three of them: LSU, Ohio State, and Georgia.”

Q: Do you have a player in the NFL that you compare yourself to or model your game after?

“I’ll say two of them, Ja’marr Chase and Tyreek Hill.”

Q: If you could describe yourself as a player to a college recruiter from LSU, or Georgia, or Ohio State, how would you describe yourself?

“I would describe myself as a student athlete, somebody who’s fast on the field and smart in the classroom and get good grades. Just someone who stays focused. I’m also very big on helping my team and teammates. It’s not just a one-man sport, it’s about the team and doing whatever you can to help it.”

Q: Do you have an inspirational figure?

“Inspirational on the field, Randy Moss, and also I look up to Kobe for his work ethic.”

Q: How do you prepare for a game before it starts?

“Mentally, just staying focused before a game. Making sure that my mind is right whenever I walk in and being ready to do the job.”

Q: What advice would you give to someone coming into the sport of football for the first time?

“Keep practicing. Do whatever you can to help your teammates win and just stay focused on what you’re trying to achieve in the sport.”
