In a battle of 3-0 undefeated teams, it was the Opelousas Vikings that were able to continue their undefeated season against Sacred Heart (Ville Platte) in dominating fashion by a final score of 42-0.
The Vikings accounted for 467 total yards of offense led by Royce Butler, who had 233 yards rushing and two touchdowns, and Roderick Tezeno, who had six catches for 195 yards and three touchdowns.
The Opelousas Catholic defense barely gave up over 100 yards rushing on the ground to complete an impressive shutout. For the Vikings, this is their first 4-0 start since 2019 when Opelousas Catholic started the season at 6-0 and eventually ended the year at 9-1.
This week, the Vikings have another big undefeated showdown against St. Edmund this Friday.
