Green Wave will host night games vs. Southern, Navy and UL-Lafayette

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane football team will open the home portion of its 2016 schedule with three straight night games at Yulman Stadium, including the home opener against Southern at 7 p.m. the American Athletic Conference opener vs. Navy at 6 p.m. and a match-up against UL-Lafayette at either 6 or 7 p.m., as it was announced today by The American.

Tulane first-year head coach Willie Fritz will lead the Green Wave onto the field at Yulman Stadium for the first time against Southern on Sept. 10 on ESPN3, marking the first meeting between the teams since 2002.

Tulane will open the season on the road at Wake Forest on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. and that game will feature an ESPN3 broadcast.

All ESPN3 games are streamed via the web, smartphones, tablets and connected devices.

For weekend games past the first three weeks of the season, kickoff times will be set by conference TV partners within 12 days prior to the contest, or in limited instances, six days out.
