Owen Martin is a RB/LB for Tallulah Academy, class of 2026. Owen has had success in his football career winning District Defensive MVP, Overall Team MVP, and Defensive MVP. The honors recognize his impact and consistency against other elite athletes in the district. Owen sustained a GPA of 3.0 in the classroom. Martin is a physical running back that gets down the field with his speed. Owen played both sides of the ball (RB/LB) and was a key factor for his team success in the playoffs.

Here’s my interview with Owen!
What motivates you most to play football?
When I first started playing it, it was fun and exciting.
How was your experience during the Bowl Game?
My experience was really good and I enjoyed it. Also I got to meet new people.
What does being a good teammate mean to you?
It means showing leadership, accountability, and if something happens you check on your teammate and not just leave each other out there.
What is your favorite football memory?
In the regular season, we lost to our rival 40-8, and then second round in the playoffs we beat them 18-12, so that was a good moment.
What was your favorite game so far?
The second round of the playoffs.
What made you start playing football?
I tried it out in peewee and I just loved it from there.
How has football helped you outside the sport?
It has helped me be a better person, and helped me get closer to people in the game. It also made me a better teammate.
Would you rather play RB or Lb?
Running back because I like running the ball and hitting people.
Favorite Pre Game song?
“Untouchable”, by Youngboy Never Broke Again.
What are your career plans
Just work and get money.
