Tristan Klock, 5’10”, 205 lbs, LB/SS, in the class of 2027, from Lafayette, LA, attending Saint Thomas More Catholic HS, where he holds a 4.0 GPA. Klock is a physical linebacker who likes to play fast and come downhill to make big hits. He takes pride in constantly being around the football, staying disciplined, and communicating at a high level. While run support is his strength, he is more than comfortable in coverage, whether it be man or zone. He displays versatility, contributing at strong safety when needed as well. He had a monster junior season with 89 total tackles (36 solo) and 12 TFL. Physicality, plus consistently bringing the football down, normally results in turnovers; he had 3 forced fumbles, 3 fumble recoveries, and 2 blocked punts. His stellar play earned him all-district honors. As he goes into his senior season, he expects his dominance to continue and his role as a leader to expand. Klock is definitely a player coaches should have on their radar as we go into this upcoming fall.
Q/A:
What has football taught you that you think will help you most in college life?
Football has taught me to trust the process and stay disciplined through everything. My faith has played a big role in that, helping me stay grounded and focused no matter the situation. How does it feel knowing this is your last season wearing your high school jersey?
It’s something I don’t take for granted. There will definitely be moments of reflection, but I’m focused on making the most of every opportunity and finishing strong with my teammates.

Are you planning to play football in college or focus more on academics?
My goal is to do both at a high level. I plan to play football in college while pursuing a degree in biology on a pre-med track. My faith and discipline guide me to stay consistent in both areas.

Recovering a fumble in a big game and helping shift momentum for my team. As a linebacker, making plays like that is something I take pride in.
