Gridiron would like to welcome Diamond in the Rough Quincy Adams, the running back out of the class of 2026. Quincy is extremely fast and makes quick, decisive cuts up field to score for Terrebonne. He also is very strong and dense weighing in at 205 pounds at 5’10 making him a wrecking ball that can bounce off tackles and absorb contact while still getting positive yardage. Quincy has 2,000 all purpose yards this season with 1,600 of them being rushing yards. He ended his 9-4 season with Terrebonne competing in the second round of the playoffs in a loss against Southside, and he will continue his football career in college playing on Saturdays.
Here’s my interview with Quincy Adams below!
What got you into football?
Well it was really just a family tradition ever since I started when I was young I just loved the sport of football and it carried on.
Was there a play or moment that got you into your position?
It was really just me wanting to carry the ball.
Was there a player you tried to emulate?
Marshawn Lynch I feel like I play like him in a type of way and recently a player that I’ve looked up to and played like is Ashton Jeanty.
What’s your strongest football attribute?
My field vision, being able to see a hole and get up field quick and my ability to break tackles.
What differentiates you from the rest?
My work ethic, every time I’m on the football field I’m working hard. Also off the field in class I’m working, and giving it 100% every time because you never know when it’s your last time playing the sport.
Dream football college?
I have two of them, Nichols and LSU. Nichols has been on my mind ever since I’ve been in high school. I just like it not being too far from the home town, I like that they have a good program over there, and I would go over there if I had a shot.
Favorite part about football?
Being on the football field, going through everything with all my brothers on the field.
Favorite football move to hit?
Running somebody over.
What’s your biggest motivator?
Well God of course, that’s number one. And my mom, my great grandpa, and my uncle.
Dream NFL teammate?
Probably Mason Smith, cause he’s from Terrebonne too…that’d be nice playing with someone from the home town.
How does playing basketball impact your play on the football field?
Playing basketball, it keeps me in shape and helps me get my speed up and also helps with stamina because football and basketball stamina are two completely different things.
