Tell me a little bit about yourself.

I’m from Lafayette. I’ve lived here my whole life and I love hanging out with family and friends.

Can you tell me what made you continue to play football?

I’ve been playing for 9 years. I didn’t know if I wanted to play, but I’ve always loved it. After my junior year, I fell in love with it completely and did as much as I could to play at the next level.

Can you give me some insight of what is going through your mind before a game?

Just trying to get into a zone. Thinking about things that motivate me and what makes me who I am. Not succumbing to weakness and just being as strong as I can be.

What is something you’ve learned in football that you’ve been able to apply in everyday life?

The concept of brotherhood. More so than I ever have in my life. Hard work beats talent and that giving up is never an option.

What is the best advice you have received from a coach regarding football?

“Today’s the first day of the rest of your life, make it count.” and “Play for the people on each side of you rather than playing for yourself.”

What is something that keeps you motivated?

My family, my friends that aren’t as fortunate as me. Like the ones who didn’t get scholarships but worked so hard.

What are you most excited for when you think about your future in football?

I’m just excited for the opportunity to prove people wrong. I don’t have a full scholarship, so I’m excited to prove people what I can do.

What do you want people to know about you? In everyday life or as an athlete?

I haven’t blossomed yet. I’m still growing and I tend to put people before myself.
