DITR: FS/SS Ryan Jones, Covington High School (Covington, LA)

Ryan Jones is a 5’10, 165lb. student athlete who is a in the class of 2025 and plays both strong and free safety at Covington High School in Covington, Louisiana. Ryan is a tremendous student-athlete both on the field and in the classrooms with a GPA of a 3.0 and an amazing football career. Throughout his career, he has averaged 81 tackles, 3 interceptions, 9 pass breakups, 3 tackles for loss of yards, and 2 fumble recovery’s. Ryan is a very talented athlete who I believe will have a progressive future and bring in much attention to his game.

What are some things you have overcome in life?

Things I overcame during my life was always being the underdog to everything or everyone.

What are your biggest accomplishments?

My biggest accomplishment is being named an all district team.

What player do you compare yourself to and why?

A player I compare myself to is Derwin James because he can cover pretty good and also stop the run game from opposing teams.

What are your plans once you’re done with football and why?

My plan once football is done is getting my bachelors degree in kinesiology and also train younger athletes.

What do you like about the sport of football and how is it significant to you?

What I like about the sport of football is all the excitement and joy from making plays on the field and also having a huge crowd there watching and cheering.

How did it feel to participate in the camp and what was the most interesting thing about it?

I felt great participating in the camp and the most interesting thing was all the new knowledge and advice I got from all the coaches out there.

What is an interesting fact about you outside of football?

An interesting fact about me is I’m not only a football player but I’m also a very talented basketball player as well.

What is your dream college to play for?

My dream college to play for is Oklahoma University because a lot of good players have came from that college and they have a great system over there.
