Brent Henry is a Junior at Acadiana Christian. He plays both sides of the ball playing Running back and Linebacker for the team. Acadiana Christian is dominating their season boasting a 6-2 record. Brent Henry has been the team leader in touchdowns and interceptions. He also averages 46.5 rushing yards per game. Henry has electric speed in the backfield breaking free for huge runs for the Lions. He had also earned a spot to win our POTW for his performance against Mid State where he posted 242 total yards and 3 tackles and a TFL in a shutout performance 52-0.
I was able to get an interview with Henry Brent and this is what we spoke about.
“Who is your greatest inspiration”
“I look up to my father a lot”
“Who is your favorite football player all time?”
“Yea I like Marshawn Lynch, I like the way he ran the ball and the way he ran through everybody”
“When did you start playing football?”
“I started playing when I was 6 or 7 years old. After I turned 10 I didn’t play at all until last year.”
“Have you played any other sports?”
“I have played Basketball”
“Do you have any schools on your radar for college?”
“Not in particular right now I am trying to work on my craft more and try to get better.”
“What motivates you the most?”
“Coming from a small school its very hard to stick out, you don’t get the cameras and media. So that makes me want to get it even more.”
“What improvements can your team make to prepare for this weeks opponent South West Louisiana, a team you faced earlier this season?”
“We need to emphasize blocking more last week we had a lot of penetration in our backfield. We have been working a lot this week on our blocking but we have a good team overall.”
“What major do you think you will pursue in college?”
“I’m thinking about going into business?”
“Where would you like to go for college?”
“I was thinking about Southern or ULL.”
