Catholic High Trio Signs On Early National Signing Day!

The Catholic High Bears are known as one of the top football programs in the state of Louisiana and tonight, three of their players have signed their letters of intent to play college football. Those players are S Blaine Bradford, LB Harrison Kidder, and OT Blaise Thomassie.

Blaine Bradford is one of the top safety prospects in the entire country. Rated as a five star and the number one player at his position, the 6’1, 200 pound prospect inked his name with the defending National Champions.

“They are getting a great physical player. They are getting a great leader, a cultural difference type of player, somebody who pushes others to their limits along with themselves, and somebody that is going to make a big difference.”

Bradford credits his relationship with Ryan Day and getting an opportunity to play early on were key reasons for deciding to play for the Buckeyes.

“You always expect to get in there and start as soon as possible. That’s the goal to get in there early, start off strong, and finish that way.”

Bradford believes his time at Catholic High and what he has learned in four years will help him once he reaches campus in Columbus.

The Bears’ highly talented safety is not the only player that will be signing Power Four as three star offensive tackle Blaise Thomassie has signed to play for the Stanford Cardinal.

“It’s unbelievable. A lot of work has gone into this and I am really excited to put pen to paper and have it done. It is just the elite level of academics, the athletics there. We are building a really good program. I believe in Andrew Luck. Coach Pritchard coming in and bringing in 22 guys in, we are on the up for sure.”

Ranked as the top offensive lineman and number 14 overall prospect according to ESPN, Thomassie had offers from a lot of SEC schools, but fell in love with the Cardinal after his official visit especially after meeting Andrew Luck.

“With Coach Luck, he is an amazing dude. The first time I got there, I got there pretty late at 11:00 and he was waiting there for me. He has a lot of energy. He is excited about the program. He just wants to get it back where it was when he was there and I am excited to build along with that.”

The 6’6, 290 pound tackle prospect has played in 40 games during his high school career as a two time 1st Team All-District selection and an All-State selection last year. He is excited to show the Cardinal what kind of player they are getting.

“I think I am physical, a down South offensive lineman, really athletic, and I can make a big difference there early.”

Finally, there is Harrison Kidder, who is a two sport standout for the Catholic High Bears as not only an All-District linebacker, but also a key player on the baseball state championship team.

The 6’2, 210 pound linebacker has chosen the football route as he signed his letter of intent with the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns.

“I really love the coaches there. They really made me feel appreciated. Going through it was a great experience, they made me interact with them. I am excited to be there.”

Helping lead a Bears defense that has been a state championship contender, Kidder feels that he can make the same impact with the Ragin’ Cajuns.

“I am a guy that just flies around the field and just trying to make every play possible. I never quit and I am just a hard hitter. Flying around the field is the best part of my game.”

“They will be able to use me in different ways. Their defense is very multiple and they will be able to use my versatility for the strength of the team.”
