The Bunkie Panthers have started the season at 2-0 after a 26-0 shutout victory over the Patterson Lumberjacks last Friday. The Panthers defense made it tough for the Lumberjacks offense to get anything going while offensively, Tanner Lemoine led the way with 189 yards rushing and three touchdowns on 24 carries.
Sophomore Brady Wright helped seal the deal with a late touchdown run in order to give the Panthers a win. Led by former Gridiron Football Top 10 Player of the Week nominee Dillon Compton and head coach Jimmie Hillman, the Panthers will move on with their 2-0 record to face off against the Jonesboro Hodge Tigers.
Meanwhile, the 1-1 Lumberjacks led by first year head coach Shannon Craig will look to bounce back tomorrow at home against Ascension Episcopal.
