Westminster Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA) RB Gavyn Hebert has committed to play in the 2025 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which will take place on Tuesday, December 30th at Louisiana Christian University in Pineville, Louisiana.
At 5’11, 175 pounds, Hebert may not be the biggest running back around, but he runs bigger than his size may indicate as an up back in the Chargers’ veer attack. He is also an explosive runner that just glides when he gets into the open field. Under head coach Kent Gable, Hebert has been part of a three headed rushing attack that ran for over 1,800 yards and 25 touchdowns his junior year while this year, he and freshman standout Pierce Gable combined for over 2,000 yards rushing in 2025.
Along the way, the two-time 2nd Team All-District selection helped the Chargers make history this season as the program, which is in its third year of existence, won its first ever playoff game in history with a 26-21 win over Sacred Heart in the Division IV Select Playoffs.
The Iron Charger Award winner is a beast in the weight room as well winning offseason challenges including bench press, power clean, squat, 40 yard dash, vertical jump, and 300 yard shuttle. Hebert broke the school record with an incredible 92.69% composite score. To go with a 3.5 GPA, Hebert’s strength, speed, and hard running style gave him an opportunity to play in the 2025 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game at our third annual preseason Media Day.
“Thank you for the invite. I hope I can show out, make an appearance, and show college coaches what I can do.”
