North Vermilion High School (Maurice, LA) DE Brooks Broussard has committed to play in the 2025 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which will take place on Tuesday, December 30th at Louisiana Christian University in Pineville, Louisiana.
At 5’11, 210 pounds, Brooks Broussard may not be the biggest guy on the football field, but his get of at the line of scrimmage makes it nearly impossible to get a hand on him coming off the edge. When it comes to playing the run, there are not a lot of better players out there on the defensive line. Watching his film, his get off, high football IQ, and high motor make him stand out.
Despite the Patriots not winning a game this year, it is unquestioned who the team’s leader is as Broussard gives it 110% on every play no matter what the score may hold. His play did not come unnoticed by fellow coaches as he has been named All-District and All-Parish over his college career.
“We can line up Brooks Broussard all over the field. We can put him at defensive end, defensive tackle, and at linebacker. We can put him at any of our four techs and he definitely can cause a lot of people some trouble.”

While he creates havoc on the field, Brousard is a true student athlete in the classroom posting a 3.86 GPA and a 23 on his ACT. The veteran North Vermilion defender received his invite to play in the 2025 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game at the beginning of the year for our Media Day and is anxious to show college coaches what he has to offer.
