Another talented player from the state of Texas will be playing in the seventh annual Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which will take place on Tuesday, December 30th at Louisiana Christian University in Pineville, Louisiana. That player is Hallsville High School (Hallsville, TX) DB Jaidon Henderson.
At 5’9, 160 pounds, Henderson plays much bigger than his size as he does a great job in run support on the edges. When it comes to tackling receivers and getting off of blocks on the perimeter, Henderson is a reliable defender. Whether it is run support or in coverage, there are not a lot of receivers that make plays on him. With his background as a wide receiver, Henderson uses that to his advantage as a defensive back. Playing both ways for the Wildcats, he finished this season with an impressive defensive campaign posting 38 tackles and 7 pass breakups.
With a 3.5 GPA, Jaidon Henderson has shown to be a tremendous student athlete and he has received four collegiate offers because of that including from Southwest College, Hendrix College, Arkansas Baptist, and Midwest University. Playing another game against some of the best the South has to offer, Henderson is excited and honored to showcase his skills in front of college coaches at this year’s bowl game.
“It means a lot to play in the bowl game to show off my talents and get recognition for my hard work. I want to thank Gridiron for blessing me with an opportunity to show my skills, grit, and determination.”
