BREAKING NEWS: Bunkie High School (Bunkie, LA) RB and Navy Signee Zion Lee Commits To 2025 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game

A Division I football signee has announced his decision to play in the 2025 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game and that is Bunkie High School (Bunkie, LA) RB Zion Lee. Before he goes on to play for the Midshipmen, he will have one more opportunity to represent the Bunkie community at the 2025 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which will be held on Tuesday, December 30th at Louisiana Christian University in Pineville, Louisiana.

At 5’11, 225 pounds, this bruising four star running back plowed his way into the record books at Bunkie. Over his legendary prep career, he finished second in program history in career rushing touchdowns (45), ninth in career rushing yards (2,492), tied first in single season rushing touchdowns (30), fourth in career tackles (340), most rushing touchdowns in one game (6), and fifth in career total touchdowns (48).

“Zion Lee really transitioned into a running back for us last year. The early thought process was having him as a third down back and using him in short yardage and then by the end of the season, he took over that role as the starting back. He is a guy that we definitely will lean on this year.”

The two year team captain has a 4.5 GPA and has achieved many awards including receiving Parish Defensive MVP honors, being named a three time All-District selection, a two-time 1st Team All-District selection, an All-State selection, All-Parish, and All-CenLa. His leadership, work ethic, and just football ability was a perfect fit for the Naval Academy.

“The support from the Navy officers, the Navy recruits already over there, they were very supportive in my decision. They gave me a lot of information about not only my next four years, but the next 40 years of my life. Get a great educations, go out there and be a good football player, maybe even get to the NFL if I can and also, knowing that I can go and serve my country and be a leader there as well.”
