BREAKING NEWS: Barbe High School (Lake Charles, LA) DB Travis Pradia Commits To The Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game

Barbe High School (Lake Charles, LA) defensive back Travis Pradia has committed to play in the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which will be played on Saturday, December 30th at Memorial Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. At 5’11, 200 pounds, Pradia has been a relentless defender in the backend of the Buccaneers’ defense playing for longtime head coach Mike Cutrera.

Ever since starting for the Class 5A program out of Lake Charles as a sophomore, Pradia has proven to be a big time tackler throughout his career. For three years, the Buccaneers’ three year starter racked up over 200 tackles, eight sacks, and three PBUs. The biggest strength to his game is that he does a great job of timing plays off the edge and playing on the line of scrimmage despite being a defensive back. He is always lurking around whether it is sacking quarterbacks, knocking passes down on the line of scrimmage, or making TFLs.

As showcased on the first highlight of his highlight tape, Pradia is not afraid to go over the middle and lay the lumber. He has always looked up and modeled his game after the late, great Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor.

“He is just a beast! He is hard hitting and always was a leader on the field.”

Right now, the Barbe safety has not received any offers, but he has received college interest from Louisiana Christian, McNeese State, Oklahoma, and ULL. He is looking to make his mark in his final high school game of his career at the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game.

“It is another chance to play the game I love with some of the best players in Louisiana and other states in the All-American Bowl in Baton Rouge.”

When Travis Pradia is done playing football, he plans on being a process operator in a refinery, but right now, he wants to continue to play the game he loves as he truly wants to show coaches that he’s a gamer.
