BREAKING NEWS: Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy (Youngsville, LA) K/P Jesse Clay Commits To 2025 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game

One of the best kickers in the state of Louisiana has committed to play in the 2025 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game and that is Acadiana Renaissance High School (Youngsville, LA) K/P Jesse Clay. This year, the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game will be played at Louisiana Christian University in Pineville, Louisiana on Tuesday, December 30th.

Acadiana Renaissance’s football program has only been in existence for just three years and perhaps, their first college signee maybe a kicker in Jesse Clay. Whether it is kicking or punting, Clay can do it both and he has a cannon of a leg. He has been rated as a four-star kicker and a 3.5 star punter.

Believe it or not, Clay first grabbed head coach Travis Blaize’s attention after winning a halftime kicking contest in which he won cash and Raising Cane’s gift cards. Since then, Clay has become a secret special teams weapon for the Eagles.

“We had a halftime contest at our annual Blue vs. White game and he sinks it from 40 yards. He told me after that he just wanted to play football. He has been going to camps and his range is from 50 yards plus. I think he is only going to get better and stronger. It is pretty cool and hilarious that the first player to sign from ARCA may be a kicker.”

Range is definitely the first word when it comes to Jesse Clay as he can make field goals from 50 plus yards out. In practice, he even made an attempt from 60 yards out. There are a lot of players that can only kick or only punt, but Clay has been consistent as a kickoff specialist, a place kicker, and can also flip the field as a punter.

With this year’s format changing, kickers have a chance to make more of an impact especially if the Gridiron Football All-American Championship Game goes to overtime. Clay is one of those players that can definitely help teams win games in the third phase of the game. Jesse Clay is looking forward to the opportunity of showing college coaches what he and his powerful leg can do at the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game.

“I am excited that I will get the chance to get my name more out there and I am thankful that I got invited to play.”
