Zachary High School Four Star Safety Kylin Jackson Commits To LSU Over Texas A&M

At Zachary High School today at 3:30 P.M., the team’s four star safety Kylin Jackson made his decision. It came down to LSU and Texas A&M and the Broncos’ star safety ended up choosing the Tigers over the Aggies continuing the Tigers’ recent hot streak in recruiting.

It has been a very good week for the LSU Tigers as over the last seven days, the Tigers had commitments from Catholic High School five star wide receiver Shelton Sampson Jr., Woodlawn High School four star quarterback Rickie Collins, and now Kylin Jackson.

The 6-1, 200 pound safety is the number ten safety and the number ten recruit in Louisiana. He is the third safety to commit to the Tigers joining Michael Daugherty of Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia and Ryan Yaites of Guyer High School in Denton, Texas. As of now, the Tigers have seven Louisiana players committed including the three players mentioned above plus Liberty High School four star running back Kaleb Jackson, St. Augustine High School offensive tackle Tyree Adams, Union Parish High School running back Trey Holly, and Archbishop Rummel High School cornerback Ashton Stamps. Overall, the team now has 20 commitments in the 2023 class and is currently ranked as the number six recruiting class in the country.

Jackson commented that LSU is home and that safeties coach Kerry Cooks and Joe Sloan’s heavy persistence of contacting him proved to be the difference in his decision.

Now, that he has decided to make his commitment to the Tigers, he and the Zachary Broncos can focus on defending their Class 5A State Championship!

In case you missed it, here is the entire commitment ceremony held at Zachary High School’s gym.
