NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane Green Wave will play perennial national power Ohio State when the teams meet for the first time on Sept. 22, 2018, at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, as it was announced today by Tulane Director of Athletics Troy Dannen.
Tulane and Ohio State have each played collegiate football for over 120 years but their paths have never crossed on the gridiron. That will change in 2018.
The Green Wave last faced a Big Ten Conference team in 2014, a road game at Rutgers.
“We are excited for the opportunity to play Ohio State, one of the premier programs in the country,” Tulane Executive Associate Athletics Director Brandon Macneill said. “Our coaching staff and players, along with our fans are eager to play against the very best and this should be a great game. There will be a significant number of Tulanians from around the country joining us at the Horseshoe.”
