SLU to Host Aug. 12 Kickoff Appreciation Event for Football Season Ticket Holders

HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana Athletics will invite 2017 Lion football season ticket holders to the second Kickoff Appreciation event on Saturday, Aug. 12 at Strawberry Stadium.

 

The event is scheduled for 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Billups Room and is open to 2017 football season ticket holders only. Fans wishing to purchase season tickets, parking passes or Billups Room passes or join the Touchdown Club will have the opportunity to do so at the event.

 

Refreshments will be available at the event, which will be held in conjunction with the Lions’ 7 p.m. scrimmage – the first scrimmage of fall camp. For more information on the event or to purchase season tickets, fans can contact the Southeastern Athletics Ticket Office at (985) 549-5466.

 

The Lions’ home schedule opens with a 7 p.m. contest versus Bethune-Cookman on Sept. 9. Other visitors to Strawberry Stadium this season include Southland Conference rivals Lamar (Sept. 23), Incarnate Word (Oct. 7 – Homecoming), Sam Houston State (Oct. 28) and Nicholls (Nov. 16).

 

SLU will officially report to campus on July 31 with the first practice set for August 1. Southeastern opens the 2017 season with a 6 p.m. contest at FBS in-state opponent UL Lafayette on Sept. 2.
