The Saints were expected to sweep the Jets on Sunday yet early in the fourth quarter the Jets had the ball giving them the opportunity to take the lead.
Thankfully the Jets offense struggled all day helping the Saints hold on to a 31-19 win. The Jets defense however had an impressive day forcing three turnovers.
Jets coach Todd Bowles said. “That’s tough. When you get three turnovers normally you win the ball game. We fought. The offense fought and the defense fought. We just didn’t make enough plays and we didn’t capitalize on the turnovers.”
The Jets have now missed the playoffs seven straight seasons since they went to the AFC championship game in 2010 .
With the return of Rogers we were all hoping my Packers would defeat the Panthers helping the Saints with their standing. Although it was a well fought battle we did not prevail, sorry. The Saints however still hold on to the number one slot in the NFC South and the saga continues.
