Rising Star: Tristen Thompson

Tristen Thompson is a 8th grader of plays for Plaquemine Junior high. Tristen is a 5’7″ 266lb Defensive Linaman that hold a 3.8 GPA. Tristen also was a recent participant in the Gridiron Football Junior All-American Bowl.

Interview with Tristen Thompson

Q. When did you start playing football?

T. I was 5 years old and my first team was the Renegades

Q. Do you play any other sports?

T. I do wrestling and track.

Q. What events do you participate in for track?

T. I do shotput and discus throw

Q. Who is your inspiration in life?

T. My parents, they keep me right mentally and physically which prepares me for harder times.

Q. What keeps you motivated on the field?

T. Staying in shape keeps me motivated.

Q. If you could go to any school where would you would you go?

T. I would definitely have to stay home and go to LSU.

Q. What would you say is your best quality on the field?

T. I do a good job of getting to the quarterback while also having good sportsmanship.

Q. What is something important that football has taught you through your time playing?

T. Football has taught me the importance of leadership within a team and also keeping a level head. When you let your mistakes get to you head it will only make you do worse, so keeping a level head is important for me to stay in check.
