The Los Angeles Rams held off the New Orleans Saints, and won 26-20, ending the Saints’ eight-game winning streak.
The Saints couldn’t seem to move the ball against the Rams’ underrated defense and Drew Brees had just 96 passing yards entering the fourth quarter.
The star of the show was the Saints rookie running back Alvin Kamara who at one point broke through the right side of the Los Angeles defense and sprinted for a 74-yard touchdown. Kamara and Ingram combined for 123 rushing yards. The Saints however were only able to convert 3 out of 13 attempts. A very disappointing performance to say the least.
There is also some controversy over head coach Sean Payton’s decision to kick a field goal in the fourth quarter instead of going for it on fourth-and-goal from the Rams’ 3-yard line but the bottom line is that the Saints are still in the running. The next couple of games will be pivotal. Have faith folks. This is Saints football.
