Louisiana College Home Opener vs #8 Hardin-Simmons

Louisiana College Wildcats have their home opener this Sat at 6pm against #8 Hardin-Simmons. Gates open at 5 pm for the Wildcats.

Last week the Wildcats took on a Division I opponent in Alcorn State. While at times the Wildcats looked good against the much larger and athletic team, Alcorn eventually won by a score of 78-0.

While LC’s offence struggled to move the ball, the Wildcat Defense stepped up and tallied 4 tackle for a loss. West Texas Transfer Skyler Bonneau started at QB. He completed 8 of 26 for 62 yards. Defensively, Julius Johnson, from Kaplan, La, lead the team in tackles with 13 and tied with the most tackle-for-a-loss with 1.

While the stats may not be overwhelmingly great, the one thing that you take away for the game is that the Wildcats did not back down from the larger DI program and they never gave up in the game.  While the Wildcats are a young team, they are tenacious and are ready for a fight.  This weeks match-up against #8 Hardin-Simmons will prove to be a tough match for those Cowboys. If they don’t strap up their gear and come to Pineville ready, then the Wildcats will walk away with a W. The Wildcats are in control their destiny as this season goes forward. A win this week could mean that the Wildcats are back!

So do not miss this weeks match-up at Louisiana College. This will be the Louisiana Gridiron Football Game of The Week. We hope to see you there.
