High School Football Recruiting: Catholic High School (New Iberia)

Josh Sibley played football for approximately thirteen years. He is now a scout with Louisiana Gridiron Football and is currently scouting high school level talent throughout Louisiana. He hopes to help recruits reach their full potential and get to that next level of play.

Catholic high School is located in New Iberia, LA. Last season they finished with a 6-0 District record and an overall record of 13-1-1.

Za’Reion Cormier

JR RB/CB

3 Star Prospect

Positives

  • Quick feet
  • One cut and go back

Negatives

  • Undersized, needs bulk

Za’Reion has a great first step. Is more of a quick back than a fast back, and needs to add bulk during the off season. However he does show good strength for his size. Could be at a DIII school. Here is a link. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/5532701/5a1cc96eda516e0d2ca65bdd

Colby Hebert

JR C/DE

2 Star Prospect

Positives

  • Good size
  • Decent strength

Negatives

  • Needs to work on technique

Overall

Colby has a good first step, but is inconsistent at the point of attack, and needs to work on hip drive, as well as shooting his hands into position. Here is a link. https://www.hudl.com/profile/5532750/colby-hebert/videos

Armon Leblanc

JR MLB/OLB

4 Star Prospect

Positives

  • Good form tackler
  • Reads/Diagnoses plays well

Negatives

  • Needs bulk

Overall

Armon has a high motor, and is able to read offenses quickly. He will need to add a little weight in the off season, which should also help with his above average ability to shed blockers. Could be a DI or DII prospect. Here is a link. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/7993542/59fbe26a6e8b072b108a8f8d

Positives

  • Great hands
  • Catches ball away from body

Negatives

  • Needs bulk

Overall

Peter is a fast receiver that goes up and will high point the ball. He will win most 50/50 balls. He will need to add some weight in the off-season though. Could be a DI or DII prospect. Here is a link. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/6182629/59b6af0d386e270cf08b7f2a
