DITR: Sean Malveaux

Sean Malveaux is a 6 ft, 165-pound DB/QB out of Comeaux High school in Lafayette, LA. This 2022 class prospect is a force to be reckoned with. Not only can he throw, but he can also run. His speed and agility make him hard to tackle, grinding out yards and moving the chains for his team. He is ready to grow and perfect his craft. Off the field, Malveaux also holds a 3.0 GPA.

When did you start playing football?

I started playing football at age 8. While I was growing up I played for the competitive youth football group The Lafayette Swampcats.

Did you participate in any other sports growing up?

I participated in soccer and baseball but I fell in love with football

What positions have you played and which one was your favorite?

In the past, I have played receiver running back. Now I play defensive back and quarterback.

Who are some of your biggest influences?

My parents. They always tell me to never give up and they have always had my back.

Is there a certain player you admire or model your game after?

Jalen Ramsey. Each play he gives 110%, his work ethic as a player aspires me to want to work harder every play

What has been your biggest accomplishment so far playing football?

Going on to round 2 sophomore year. It has been a few years since my team passed round 1, so even being able to play in round 2 is an accomplishment.

What motivates you to keep playing football?

I play football because not only is it something that I love to do, it also helps out my family.

What is your biggest strength on the field?

Being a leader. My team and I were down going into halftime. Some of the players had their heads down, as a quarterback I told them to keep their heads up, we got this, to fight through it. In the end, we had come back and won the game

What has football taught you?

How to be a young man both on and off the field. No matter what you are going through, keep your head held up high, if you fight through the challenges good things will eventually come.

If you were in the NFL what would be your cause for My Cause My cleats?

Cancer. I have had family members who have had cancer and I would want to be able to show my support to them by bringing awareness.
