Jeremiah Collins of Louisville Male High School in Louisville, Kentucky

Jeremiah Collins is a Class of 2023 Defensive Back from Louisville Male High School in Louisville, KY. He lines up as both a cornerback and a safety and makes plays all over the field. He is a good tackler at the line of scrimmage in the run game and shows good ball skills. At 6’2″ and 150lbs, he has good size for any of the defensive back positions at the next level.

How would you describe your role on the team?

Jeremiah: I play a big leadership role on the defense and especially in the back end with the secondary.

How would your teammates describe you?

J: My teammates would say M’m very competitive because of the energy I bring into 1on1’s, Game Days, pre-game and post-game, and more.

What would you say is your biggest strength?

J: I would say my biggest strength is my size and my length, that gives me a huge advantage over opposing receivers.

What do you need to improve on the most to make sure you’re successful at the next level?

J: I need to improve on my knowledge of the game. Football is all based on down and distances and in game situations, if I’m able to detect that and know what certain routes should be ran in certain situations, the game will slow down more for me.

Who would you compare yourself to, in college or the NFL?

J: I would compare myself to a “faster Richard Sherman” because of my length. I’m able to recover if I get beat because of my length.

What is your goal for this season with Louisville Male HS?

J: My goal is to win the state championship, but personally, I want to be recognized on the All-State defensive team.

What are you going to bring to the college team that recruits you?

J: I’m going to bring energy and commitment to any college that receives me.

Jeremiah has offers from Purdue, Louisville, Toledo, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Eastern Kentucky, and Illinois.
