DITR: ATH Briggs Burr, Folsom Jr High (Folsom, LA)

Briggs Burr is a 5’10, 160lb. athlete who plays both Quarterback and Linebacker for Folsom Jr High in Folsom, Louisiana in Class of 2028. Briggs is an amazing student athlete with a GPA of a 3.5 and recently participated in the Gridiron Football Elite Camp in Covington where he had an amazing performance and showed off all his skills as both a quarterback and linebacker. I believe that Briggs have an amazing chance at being able to make a great career in football.

What are some things you have overcome in life?

Some things I have overcome in my life are getting better at sports, it has taken a lot of blood, sweat, and time to be where I am today and I’m nowhere near done yet.

What are your biggest accomplishments?

Some of my biggest accomplishments in my football career are scoring every point against one of the better teams in our district (I scored 22), when I hit. home run against a team we played in baseball season this past year for our school, and in my seventh grade year when we played our rival and beat them in 2nd overtime.

What player do you compare yourself to and why?

I compare myself to Joe Burrow. I compare myself to him because of his leadership on and off the field, his willingness to help others off of the field, and his accomplishments in the game of football.

What are your plans once you’re done with football and why?

My plans when I’m done with football are to most probably go to work in the offshore field working on cranes just like my dad. I want to do this because my dad is an inspiration to me and i would like to take after him.

What are your goals/new things to accomplish for this upcoming season?

A goal I want to accomplish is to just be a leader to my players around me and be respectful to my coaches to earn anything I receive.

What do you like about the sport of football and how is it significant to you?

Something I love about the sport of football is the brotherhood in this game, the friends and people i can call brother that I have met from this game is crazy. Also I really like to get physical and hit people.

What is an interesting fact about you outside of football?

An interesting fact about me outside of football is that I am also a pretty good pitcher in baseball, I intend on playing baseball along with football at Covington High School.

What is your dream college to play for?

My dream college to play for is LSU, I am a diehard LSU fan and have been to a few of their camps for football and I truly love their facilities and the fan base.

How did it feel to participate in the camp and what was the most interesting thing about it?

It felt pretty amazing to be in the gridiron camp I went to. It showed me many different things that I can work on to be a better player as well as a better person.
