When did you start playing football?

I started playing football my 8th grade year.

What is it that makes you love the game?

The feeling you get from competing and winning. Also just playing with your teammates. There is no sport like football.

Who do you model your gameplay after?

We don’t play the same position but I would have to say Ray Lewis because of his fight and mentality. I loved his day to day love of the game. He always showed 110% effort no matter what the score showed. I believe he was a great leader with a championship mindset.

Growing up, did you play any other sports?

Played baseball and soccer. Still play baseball as our right fielder.

What are you most motivated by?

Making a deep run in the playoffs and finishing with a state championship.

What area of your game would you like to improve on this off season?

I would have to say quickness and my speed. I also want to add 5 to 10 yards extra on my punts.

Have you gone to any camps or plan to?

LA Tech, McNeese, Memphis Mega Camp, and Southern Miss.

What would college coaches be most impressed with about you?

My tall frame and my route running abilities. Also my work ethic and my versatility as a player.

What are your expectations for next season?

To raise the bar that was set by last year’s seniors. The bar was set very high and we have to raise it even higher this year. I’m looking for a deep run into the playoffs and finishing with a state championship.

What do you want to study in college?

Chemical engineering

What would you say are your biggest accomplishments?

Definitely tying the record for best record in school history last season.

What have your learned about yourself while playing football?

Football has taught me many things. I have learned about perseverance and hard work. I learned how to keep going because I can always get better. Also that football is a team game and all of my teammates are my family. I learned about courage and always fighting for every inch and about humility and staying humble in a win or a loss.

Who do you look up to and why?

My head coach because he is a great coach but he is a great person as well. He has tremendous faith and that is important in life. He has taught us all how to be better men.

What would you consider your biggest strengths as a football player?

My size and my versatility.

What would your coach say about you?

That I’m always working on my craft. I’m a very hard worker.
