D.I.T.R.: Jaxon Baize

Jaxon Baize is a 6’0″ 190 lbs. quarterback who plays for Boerne High School in Boerne, Texas. Jaxon had a outstanding first year as a starter, throwing for over 3500 yards along with throwing 53 touchdowns. He had some running ability as well running for 4 touchdowns, helping him earn District 14 4A Offensive MVP. Jaxon is someone who can put touch on the ball, along with keeping his eyes downfall while moving around in the pocket. He can make every throw, and is only getting better. When did you start playing football?

Started playing flag football at 5 years old, then tackle in the 6th grade

What is your favorite thing about playing football?

Being on the field with my teammates and been wanting to play in high school since I was young

What have you learned the most from your coach?

Staying calm and staying to myself

What is your favorite football memory?

State semi-final game when we beat Chapel Hill in the Alamodome

What sports do you play outside of football?

Basketball, baseball and golf

Who is the player you idolize your game after?

Patrick Mahomes

Dallas Cowboys

Who do you consider to be your role model?

My dad

How do you balance school and football?

I stay focus on both, and work hard everyday to get both done

How do you prepare yourself for a game?

Getting some electrolytes in, and calm music while listening to music. Stretch and just get myself ready mentally

What is your favorite pre/post-game meal?

Home game pregame meal, which is either a burger or grilled chicken from an intown restaurant called Dog & Pony

What is the best aspect of your game?

My poise throughout the game and staying calm

What separates you from others?

My leadership

What is your definition of being a good teammate?

Being a leader, and pouring positivity into your teammates. Stay confident until the end of the game
