CAJUN CRIPTONITE

We all know about Cam Newton’s Superman antics. Well the New Orleans Saints proved he is in fact Superman as they opened a can of Cajun Criptonite on him and Superman melted right out of the playoffs.

The Saints came away with a 31 to 26 win against the Panthers in the Mercedes Benz Super dome and now will face the Minnesota Vikings next week. Thank the Vikings  for the new stadium as the temperature will be 5 below at last report. WE ARE ONLY TWO GAMES AWAY FROM THE SUPERBOWL FOLKS!!!!!!!  I really hate to keep saying I told you so, but I did after all…..

Saints quarterback Drew Brees topped 300 yards for the seventh time in 12 career postseason games, with the longest of his passes going for 80 yards and a touchdown to Ted Ginn Jr. The Saints then scored on four consecutive drives. QB Brees completed 23 of 33 passes for 376 yards with two touchdowns.

Coach Sean Payton said after the victory against the Carolina Panthers.”You watch that play closely on film, Drew kind of shuffled quickly to his right and found Ginn behind the coverage,” Payton said. “It was a heck of a play by him.

Saints running back Mark Ingram said ” I’ve been telling you all year that you don’t sleep on Drew. If you are going to stack the box, try to stop the run and take us out of the game, then he is going to hurt you.”

The Cajun Criptonite apparently also had an adverse effect on Panthers kicker Graham Gano when he muffed an easy 25 yard filed goal going wide right.

Don’t know if Cajun Criptonite will work on Vikings but maybe a little Voodoo…………On to Minnesota!

Geaux saints
