BREAKING NEWS: Westminster Christian Academy (Huntsville, Alabama) LB Zeke Carwile Commits To The Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game

The top tackler in Alabama and one of the nation’s leading tacklers is looking to make a couple of more stops before his prep career is over as Westminster Christian Academy (Huntsville, Alabama) linebacker Zeke Carwile has committed to play in the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game. The Alabama native is a tackling machine and is always around the football. The numbers are staggering as the 5’10, 195 pound linebacker has achieved some incredible feats throughout the years. With over 530 career tackles, Carwile has stuffed the stat sheet with 33 career tackles for loss, 11 career forced fumbles, three career interceptions, four career pass breakups, and three fumble recoveries. As one of the most productive players in Wildcat history, he has also been named two time All-Region, one-time All-Huntsville, Defensive MVP, Team MVP, and is also a four time Craig Aiken Award Winner, which is awarded to the athlete that expresses spiritual, academic, and athletic excellence. Carwile is a very spiritual young man as after his football career, he wants to be involved with ministry and preach the Gospel.

As somebody who is into Superhero Comics, there were a lot of times that Carwile played like a superhero this year. Carwile saved his best season for last as he had a staggering 205 total tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 7 forced fumbles, 2 PBUs, three interceptions, a sack, and a fumble recovery. His production on the football field to go along with having a 4.12 GPA and a 25 ACT has given him an already impressive resume. A resume that has impressed plenty of colleges that have offered the impressive student athlete including Birmingham Southern, Campbellsville University, Huntington College, and Sewanee University. He is also talking with Middle Tennessee State, Samford, North Alabama, Alabama A&M, West Alabama, Millsaps, Limestone University, Pikeville, Faulkner, Culver-Stockton, Sterling, Bethel University, Manchester University, Kentuccky Wesleyan, Lyon College, Berry, Carson Newman, Coast Guard, Rhodes College, Maryville, and Washington University. Carwile tries to model his game after great linebackers in order to have this type of on field success including Luke Kuechly, Ray Lewis, and Mike Singletary. After having a great football career, Carwile wants to represent his football program one final time by going to Louisiana and showcasing what he has to offer at the next level.

“It is an honor to play one more game my senior year, especially against great competition. I can’t wait to showcase my God given abilities.”
