BREAKING NEWS: Kinder High School (Kinder, LA) DB Donte’ Botley Commits To The Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game

One of the top performers for our Gridiron Football Elite Camp Series this past offseason has committed to play in the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game and that is Kinder High School (Kinder, LA) defensive back Donte’ Botley. The Yellow Jackets defensive back had a good showing at the St. Edmund (Eunice) camp this past spring where he earned an offer to play in the game. Playing for one of the best small school programs in South Louisiana, Botley has been one of the program’s most consistent players as he is a three time 1st Team All-District defensive back and a three time Defensive MVP.

This past season, Botley had another big outing as he had over 80 tackles, two interceptions, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. At 5’10, 170 pounds, Botley plays bigger than his size on film. When it comes to his film, Botley is very physical and does a great job of shedding blocks and helping in run support. The Kinder defensive back models his game after another big time hitter and that is former Seattle Seahawks great Kam Chancellor. Botley is not only physical against the run and a great tackler, but he does a great job of always being around the football when it is in the air as he has great discipline and possesses some good ball skills. What is most surprising about this productive defensive back is that he currently has no offers, but has received interests from Louisiana Christian, Lyon College, Bluffton, and Culver-Stockton. When his playing days are over, he would like to get into entrepreneurship, but he hopes that he has plenty of more football left to play as he is going to showcase his skills at the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game on Saturday, December 30th in Memorial Stadium (Baton Rouge, Louisiana).

“It means a lot to play in this bowl game because it gives me another opportunity to play football in high school since it’s my last year.”

Botley also would like to add that his work ethic and consistently putting the work in the offseason makes him a great choice for any college that is looking for a player that has high intensity and passion for the game of football.

Join Donte’ and the rest of our players for the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which will be played at Memorial Stadium on December 30th at 6:00 P.M.
