4 LSU TIGERS TO COMPETE IN FOOTBALL ALL STAR GAMES ON SATURDAY

BATON ROUGE — Four LSU football players – Josh Boutte, Tashawn Bower, Colin Jeter, and Lewis Neal – will play their final collegiate game on Saturday when the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl and the East-West Shrine Game are held.

Boutte, Bower and Neal are participating in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, while Jeter is taking part in the East-West Shrine Game.

The East-West Shrine Game is played at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida and will be televised by the NFL Network at 2 p.m. CTon Saturday. The NFLPA game will be held at StubHub Center in Carson, California and will be televised on FS1 at 3:15 CT.

On Saturday, Jeter will wear No. 81 for the East squad and will be coached by Brentson Buckner of the Arizona Cardinals.

Boutte, Bower and Neal will all play for the National squad in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl and will be coached by NFL offensive guru Mike Martz. Boutte will wear No. 76, Bower No. 46 and Neal No. 92 for Saturday’s contest.

The foursome closed out their LSU career in grand fashion as they each played a key role in the Tigers’ 29-9 dismantling of Louisville and its Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Lamar Jackson in the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl.

In that win over the Cardinals, Bower registered a career-high three sacks totaling 22-yards in losses, Neal had five tackles, Jeter caught a TD pass and Boutte recorded seven knockdown blocks on 69 offensive snaps at right guard in the LSU victory.

Next week, five LSU players head to Mobile, Alabama for the Senior Bowl, which takes place on Saturday, January 28. Former Tigers who will play in next week’s Senior Bowl include: linebacker Duke Riley, cornerback Tre’Davious White, center Ethan Pocic and wide receiver Travin Dural. Linebacker Kendell Beckwith received an invitation to the game but will be unable to compete due to an injury.
